I sent in FIVE coins to NGC today...
a small 1489-1989 British Sovereign set 1/2, 1, and a 2 proof set (that I bought off here for cheap) PF 67 to 69 ish they go NICELY in my small collection;
a 1868 Sydney sovereign around EF45 AU50 ish (which was a deal off ebay when the seller had to re-NIG on another coin he had already sold OFF- funny how the Sydney folks gave the Brits the finger of fate and put their colonial BOW in her hair - when the slow DUMB Brits figured it out some (1857 to 1871) 17 years later they re-NIGGED on the exclusive Sydney sovereign contract and made them mint only Brit look-a-likes HA HA), see below and a 1927 South Africian sovereign MS63 ish (which I found in the my raw sovereigns and rounded off the India, Austrailian (3), Canadian, and many British sovereigns as a type set) . PCGS is offering buy 4 get one free slab 'em deal on "CROSS OVERS" via Coin World today JUST for October 2009. See electronic Coin World ad or call PCGS... On the 17 year dealie - well in 1964 they killed silver in USA coins and the bull ran for 17 years 1980. $1.29 to $55.00 - 17 years! AND Gold $35 to 875.00 in 17 years... In 1999 the SECOND BIGGER BULL kicked off Silver was $4.25 gold was $255.00 and NOBODY wanted it then. They difference in money printed from 1964 = 440 BILLION to 1999 = 6,100 billion which of course is about 14 times as much money but you have to figure in population and subtract. Nothing ever is perfect in ratio - however that said - ONE should remember that the money supply does have a REACTION - right? Duh, Duh. So therefore the starting prices varied from $1.29 to $4.25 way undervalued by the way: and $35 to $255.00 almost perfect with population figured in they are screwing silver with the HUNT memories and other paper tricks. Okay, Get it? However all that mentioned remember that POOP happens and I can....Imagine it going up like it did last time only BIGGER because the NINCOMPOOPS in Washington printing the US $ BUCKO 24/7 like a bunch of mice in one of those spinning wheels. Last time gold did 25 times and silver did 43 times. 25 times $255 say somewhere between $5000 and a 1923 Germany 5 trillion Reichmarks 43 times $4.25 say siomewhere between $150 and a 1798 France of 50 billion Assignats I don't know do your own research... Have fun .... |
